DESCRIPTION: EPW - Chronomètre Election, deck watch with winding indicator, unusual differential winding indicator function with dial register rotating relative to stationary hand, movement mounted within a brass case with display back held within a pivoting central panel inside a wooden box measuing approximately 4.5" x 5.75" x 2", silvered dial of approximately 2.5" diameter, marked "Chronomètre Election" and "Grand Prix Berne 1914," upper seconds-register, lower rotating winding indicator register, SW-SS, lever escapement, 16J, gilt mvt, s#524688. CONDITION: Mvt: Running, good winding indicator function, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, some scratches to perimeter of barrel bridge, short scratch on escape wheel bridge, plates with some mild ultra-fine scratch striations likely from past wiping; dial with scattered discolorations, markings with areas of loss including portion of "Grand Prix" marking and much of the seconds-register markings, scattered fine scratches; brass case with some tarnish, good glass crystals; wooden box in excellent cosmetic condition overall, exterior with some typical scratches and marks, inner portion of upper lid is missing something (possibly an original plaque or a lining material), locking key is present.
